CUSTOM COMPOSITION + MUSIC LICENSING
Kind words from folks I've worked with.
The first time I heard Will’s music I knew I wanted to work with him, or maybe I was just looking for an excuse to listen to more of his awesome tracks. I hired him and the process of working with him was pure magic. For all of the tracks that ended up in the film, Will provided several more brilliant tunes that didn’t make the cut. He can bust out music at an unreal rate, almost like a photographer framing up a shots in various ways. Here’s the pure magic part though, when you work with Will you get to experience all of this talent while interacting with a really kind person. He makes both the film and the experience of making the film better.- Chris Jordan-Bloch. Senior multimedia producer at EarthJustice.
We used Will’s music for The Washington Post’s “First and 17” documentary series and feature-length film. It was so inspirational to edit to, and I was never fighting with the music. His songs could fit any mood, and there was so much range throughout our series from joy to sadness to suspense that Will’s music provided the perfect soundtrack to. It just easily became a part of the film as much as the visuals and dialogue. Will was so great to work with. He understood the tone of the series and the movie, and composed new music to fit our needs.- Jayne Orenstein. Emmy award winning editor for The Washington Post.
There is something magical that happens when you mix film and music to communicate a story. So much of the story hinges on the emotion the music drives, and Will seems to understand that. He is able to create beautiful environments that seems to slow down time, and allow the viewer to really experience the emotion and take in the visuals. He’s got such a great sense for storytelling using music and is such a pleasure to collaborate with.- Brandon Wall. Freelance filmmaker.
